J’aurais certainement parlé différemment de cette « phase » d’évangélisation et n’aurais pas employé le langage cringe d’un frère. De nos jours, cela aurait été qualifié d’« offensant pour les oreilles pieuses » et aurait été censuré dans le discours public parce qu’il heurte le sens catholique et la délicatesse de la foi.
I definitely would’ve spoken of that “phase” of evangelization differently and would not have used the cringe language of a friar. In the old days, this would’ve have been called “offensive to pious ears” and would have been censured from public speech because it shocks the Catholic sense and delicacy of faith.
